Anyone who has ever been to Hawaii knows that spam is a major staple of local cuisine. In fact, nearly seven million cans of spam are consumed in Hawaii each year. One of the most popular food festivals is the annual “Spam Jam” in Honolulu every April. Seattle Author and food blogger Alice Currah, who wrote the cookbook “Savory Sweet Life”, attended this year. Alice now joins New Day Northwest to share her favorite spam-based dishes.
