Today's "New Day" began with a blast, as audience members received bags of G.H. Cretors popcorn to celebrate the 4th of July with a classic American snack. If the name "Cretors" sounds familiar, Charles Cretors invented a steam-powered machine in the late 1800's that not only popped popcorn, but roasted peanuts, chestnuts and coffee as well! Audience members also received masks to promote the new movie "The Lone Ranger," starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp. The film opens tonight at theaters everywhere. For more information about "The Lone Ranger" movie, please click here.

After this festive start to the show, Brandon O'Neill, Anne Allgood, Hunter Ryan Herdlick performed the song "Matter Patter," from the Gilber & Sullivan classic, "The Pirates of Penzance," then joined guest host Kim Holcomb to chat about the production at The 5th Avenue Theatre. The show runs July 11 through August 4, 2013. For more information about the show, please click here.
