One of the last appetizing stores in the country is in Manhattan's lower east side, called "Russ and Daughters". Known for carrying a fine selection of smoked fish, caviar and other specialty foods, next year will mark the 100th anniversary of this beloved family-run shop. Mark Russ Federman is the former owner and grandson of founder Joel Russ, and he's written a new book that tells the story behind the legendary shop that became one family's American dream.
Mark will be talking more about his book with Seattle's own chef, Tom Douglas, at a special event from 6:00pm to 7:30pm tonight, March 11, 2013, at Town Hall Seattle.
