Many Seattle Supersonics fans are feeling a bit angry right now-- because their beloved former team is in the NBA finals.
The Oklahoma City Thunder won game one against the Miami Heat-- sparking support for Miami-- and a renewed call to build an arena and put a new NBA team in place! This week-- the arena project got a major boost, as Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, and Peter and Erik Nordstrom joined the efforts to make that happen.
And a big rally is planned today to drum up even more support!
Chris Daniels from KING-5 News has been on top of this story from Day 1. He joined Margaret to discuss the latest developments going on with the arena. He discuss whether or not we're getting a good deal on an arena, as well as what kind of support the city would need from the public to make it happen.
The rally to bring back the Sonics gets underway at 4 this afternoon at Occidental Park in Seattle. Arena developer, Chris Hansen, will be joined by a host of former Sonics greats, celebrities and bands for what's sure to be a very spirited rally.
