At least 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's, a disease that slowly robs people of memories, cognitive abilities and eventually, their lives. A new book shares the hearts and minds of those caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's. INTO THE STORM: JOURNEYS THROUGH ALZHEIMER'S is edited by award-winning journalist Collin Tong, who eloquently shares the ordeal he and his wife Linda faced in the years following her diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 51.
Collin joined Margaret to talk more about the book and Alzheimer's from a caregiver's point of view, along with Bob Le Roy, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association (Central and Western Washington chapter). Bob shared his father's story in the foreword of INTO THE STORM.
