She's been called a "Lightning Rod" in the quest for education reform, stemming from her tumultuous time as Chancellor of the Washington DC public schools. Michelle Rhee is now CEO of StudentsFirst, an organization aimed at improving schools, state by state. She writes about her life, her own time as a teacher, and her strong beliefs about reform in her new book called Radical: Fighting to put children first.
She also appeared in the powerful documentary, Waiting for Superman, looking at public education in America, through the eyes of students, teachers and others.
Michelle appears at Town Hall Seattle tonight, February 19, 2013 at 7:00pm for a conversation about her book and about education reform. This is a FREE event.
