Let's face it, it's Seattle and it rains pretty much throughout all four seasons. So today we are learning some great ways to stay stylist while staying dry! Darcy Camden, our New Day stylist, is here to give us some tips to dress in this kind of weather. She will help us dress for all occasions including professional, casual, and an evening out

HOW TO STAY STYLISH IN THE RAIN

PROFESSIONAL

  • Wear ankle pants that hit right at your ankle, so you can easily switch from waterproof rain flats to heels at the office
  • Fasten your hair into a bun or top knot for stay put hold all day and use a waterproof hairspray (Kerastase, click to buy)
  • Make a statement with a stylish, waterproof trench
  • Avoid wool on rainy days

CASUAL

  • Wear bright colors whenever possible to combat the grey weather
  • Look for collapsable rain gear, like trenches and umbrellas
  • Keep your hands free with a neoprene, waterproof cross body bag
  • Have fun with rain boots!

DRESSY

  • Opt for black, waxed denim to repel rain
  • Look for waterproof fabrics. Keywords: Lycra, Neoprene, Nylon and Vinyl
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and attach grip to the bottom of your shoes
