Suicide and depression are subjects that come with stigmas. Here at New Day, we're devoted to removing the stigma around mental illness, but for many, it's still an uncomfortable topic. In a new film "Nothing Against Life," Seattle filmmaker Julio Ramirez addresses the social implications that get attached to suicide and mental health, as told through the eyes of four characters whose lives teeter on the brink between life and death.
Julio and Cynthia Geary, one of the film's stars, stopped by today to join guest host Suzie Wiley to open up this important dialogue.
The Seattle premiere of "Nothing Against Life" is this Wednesday, April 30th at 7pm at the Cinerama. Ticket proceed will help benefit Washington's Youth Suicide Prevention Program Doors open at 6pm and there is a Q&A after the movie. Tickets are available now for $15 through the Cinerama's website.
