This weekend, iconic Director William Friedkin was honored with a special Lifetime Achievement Award at the Seattle International Film Festival.
As the director of some of the most memorable movies of all time, including The French Connection, The Exorcist and To Live and Die in LA, he's not one to shy away from the dark side of human nature.
His new film Killer Joe is no different. The movie stars Matthew McConaughey as a Dallas Detective who moonlights as a hitman, and Emile Hirsch is a young drug dealer who enlists killer Joe's services to get at his mother's insurance money.
Killer Joe will open in Seattle in early August. Another summer movie you don't want to miss!
