This year marks 50 years for one of the most prolific voices in rock & roll history.  Howard Kaylan's career began as the lead vocalist for the 60's rock band The Turtles.  Their unforgettable hit "Happy Together" was named by BMI as one of the Top 50 Songs of the 20th Century.  Howard later went on to sing with Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention and eventually become one-half of the popular duo Flo & Eddie.  His new memoir is called Shell Shocked: My Life with the Turtles, Flo & Eddie, and Frank Zappa, etc..., and in it he tells candid stories of living the life of a classic rock & roll star.

Howard will talk about his book, his life in rock & roll, and he'll perform at a special event tonight in the JBL Theater at the EMP at 7:00 p.m. This event is open to all ages.
