Kady Z is a rising musical star, gaining attention for her thoughtful lyrics and soulful voice. Her career began when she was still a toddler making special guest appearances with her mother, singer/actress Pia Zadora. As she grew into her own style, Kady Z teamed up with talented and creative group of musicians, along with producing/writing/engineering phenom Tone Def, who has worked with a number of musical acts, including Green Day, Santana, Outkast and Michelle Branch.
Kady and Tone performed her new single, "Crush Gone Wrong," then joined Margaret to chat about her newly released album "Ordinary Girl," as well as growing up in a high profile entertainment family.
"Ordinary Girl" is an upbeat pop/dance album recorded with a full band. However, this is a fully acoustic tour comprised of just Kady and Tone. They plan to release acoustic versions of the songs on iTunes very soon (monitor her website: www.kadyzmusic.com for details).
Kady Z and Tone Def will perform tonight (Wednesday, August 14) at El Corazon in Seattle. Doors open at 7:30 and the show will also feature Amanda Markley, Lover Fighter, and a few other guests. For more information about the show, please click here.
