For anyone who finds the drama and mayhem of tabloid TV a guilty pleasure, wait until you see Jerry Springer: The Opera. The show made its debut in London in 2003, winning the British version of the Tony Award for Best New Musical.
Co-produced by Balagan Theater and Seattle Theater Group, Jerry Springer: The Opera has come to the Northwest. Director Shawn Belyea and actor and former Harvey Danger frontman Sean Nelson sit in to talk about the musical.
Evan Woltz, playing God, performs the song "It Ain't Easy Being Me," accompanied by Nathan Young on piano.
Jerry Springer: The Opera runs through January 26th at the Moore Theater.
