Jazz virtuoso Jon Batiste and his band Stay Human performed, then joined Margaret to chat about his historic connection to New Orleans jazz, which is part of the inspiration for the hit HBO series Treme. Hailing from a long line of well-known musicians, Jon last year was named one of the "30 Under 30" most influential people in the art world.  Together with Stay Human, they are passionate about promoting the art and appreciation of live music.  From subway tunnels to an underground bar, you never know where you'll catch them doing an impromptu performance - what they call "Love Riots"!

Currently Jon also serves as the Artistic Director at Large of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

Jon Batiste and Stay Human's new album Social Music comes out on October 15 but you can pre-order it now on iTunes.
