Jazz singer Sara Gazarek got a taste of the national stage when attending Roosevelt High School in Seattle, taking part in the prestigious "Essentially Ellington" competition in New York City. She honed her skills and talent at the University of Southern California, winning accolades, recording albums and touring with stars. Her most recent album, "Blossom and Bee", includes jazz and pop standards, along with original compositions.
Sara performed the song "No Moon At All," then joined host Margaret Larson to talk about her musical career, as well as the importance of helping children begin to hone their musical skills at an early age.
Sara and her band will perform tonight through Sunday at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley. Please click on the link for showtimes and ticket.
