Just last week, Jason Puracal was released from a Nicaraguan prison after an appeals judge overturned his conviction on drug charges and ordered his immediate release. Since then, the University of Washington graduate has returned to Tacoma and the family that worked tirelessly to keep his case in the headlines.. and to garner support from human rights groups and lawmakers.

But even as he begins to heal from his nearly two-year ordeal, Jason is already planning the next phase of his life, which includes a return to college and a memoir which will feature letters he wrote to his young son in prison as the launching point.

Jason joined Margaret to talk more about his experience and to explain why he has not ruled out a return to Nicaragua in the future.
