A new exhibit at the Northwest African American Museum explores the shared history between two strong cultures. The exhibit is called "Indivisible: African-Native American Lives in the Americas" - and brings history to life using a number of mediums, including visual arts, music and literature.

Chieko Phillips, a curator at the Northwest African American Museum and Marilyn Wandrey, whose grandmother, Julia Jacob, is featured in the exhibit, joined Kim to give more insight into the rich history right here in Western Washington.

"Indivisible: African-Native American Lives in the Americas" was developed, produced and circulated by the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, with generous support from Akaloa Resource Foundation and the Latino Initiatives Pool, administered by the Smithsonian Latino Center.
