There are all kinds of heroes here in the Northwest and one of them is now in the Mariners’ Hall of Fame. Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted Saturday night with an emotional speech that lasted 24 minutes, just like his playing number. The crowd celebrated Junior’s achievements on the field and off, especially at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The Ken Griffey Jr. Family Endowment for Pediatric Cancer Research at Seattle Children’s will help find better, safer treatments for kids battling cancer. Now more local heroes are asking for help to raise funds for the cause and it turns out, the event is One Big KISS of fun for the whole family. Morning show super team, Jackie and Bender from 106.1 KISS FM, join New Day Northwest to talk about an exciting charitable event that is coming soon.

One Big KISS at the Ballpark happens Sunday, August 25th. Enjoy a Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field and join the crew from 106.1 KISS FM for family fun, prizes and silent auction. The event benefits Seattle Children’s and kicks off September’s Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Five dollars from each ticket sold will be donated to Jackie and Bender’s One Big KISS for Seattle Children’s Radiothon.
