For one in six Americans, hunger is an everyday reality. Washington State ranks 22nd in the nation for the number of households unable to consistently provide food for every member living under the roof.

This Friday, a star-studded roster of country music superstars lend their voices to fight hunger in a special one-hour concert on King 5. It's all part of the Outnumber Hunger initiative. The national organization benefitting from the concert is called Feeding America, and one of their beneficiaries is Food Lifeline here in the Northwest.

Rachel Quigley from Food Lifeline, and Shari Winstead, long time Food Lifeline supporter, stopped by the show to tell us more about what else Food Lifeline is doing locally to end hunger.

The concert will air Friday, April 18th from 8-9pm on King 5.
