She was a 2009 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef in the Northwest. Her restaurant, Tilth, was named one of the Ten Best New Restaurants in the country by The New York Times in 2008. Then Chef Maria Hines went up against some the best chefs in the world on Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" earlier this year. Maria Hines took on the master chef himself-Iron Chef Morimoto-on Food Networks "Iron Chef"...and she won!!
