The annual "Boeing Classic" golf tournament starts today, bringing some of the world's best pro golfers to the Northwest, and helps raise money for great organizations. One beneficiary is the Benaroya Research Institute, also known as BRI, to support their research on autoimmune diseases.  BRI research participant Angelina Clarke and her physician and BRI researcher, Dr. James Lord, talk about how research is helping patients living with Crohn's disease.

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America will be holding an education program for patients, families and caregivers living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.  The event takes place on Tuesday, August 23, at 6:25pm in the Lindeman Pavilion at Virginia Mason Medical Center.  Dr. Lord will be one of the featured speakers.  Registration is free.  Click here for more details.

The Boeing Classic golf tournament runs today through Sunday, August 28, at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.  For a full schedule of events and ticket information, click here.
