Bestselling author Debbie Macomber is busy with several projects right now, including a new book series set in the fictional Western Washington town of Cedar Cove; and her work as spokeperson for World Vision's "Knit for Kids" charity initiative.

Debbie joined Margaret to chat about "The Inn at Rose Harbor," which is due out on August 14, the "Knit for Kids" project and tonight's special event at Safeco Field: the 8th Annual Stitch & Pitch Night at the Seattle Mariners v. Kansas City Royals game. Debbie is slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. To learn more about tonight's special game and to buy tickets, please click here.

This afternoon, they plan to 'yarn bomb" the glove outside Safeco Field. The huge blanket that's stitched together to cover the glove will be divided into blankets to be sent to children around the world, as part of the "Knit for Kids" initiative.
