You've heard the saying "write what you know." Forensic Anthropologist Kathy Reichs takes that saying to heart. She's written nearly two dozen best-selling novels, most of them featuring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. (The novels are the inspiration for the popular TV series "Bones")
Kathy's latest novel "Bones Are Forever" tackles some heavy-duty topics, including diamond mining, corruption and murder. She also writes a young adult series called "Virals," featuring the teenaged niece of Temperance Brennan as the main character.
Kathy joined Margaret to talk about her the inspiration for her novels and to share some of her more high profile cases, like helping identify remains at Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks, traveling to other countries to help identify war victims.
