Bestselling author and activist Christopher Kennedy Lawford's background is quite varied. He's acted in movies and on TV. He's produced films and has worked in the legal field. But a very personal substance abuse battle set him on a very different path, to use his own struggles as a way to help others.
In his newest book, RECOVER TO LIVE: KICK ANY HABIT, MANAGE ANY ADDICTION, Christopher gathers the world's experts in a number of addiction fields, including alcohol, drugs, eating disorders and hoarding. The book is complete with state-by-state resources and other crucial information. Christopher joined Meeghan to talk about his journey, and his passion to help others struggling to conquer their own demons. RECOVER TO LIVE dovetails perfectly out of his two previous books: SYMPTOMS OF WITHDRAWAL (in which Christopher chronicles his path from self-destruction to sobriety) and MOMENTS OF CLARITY (here, a number of celebrities and high profile men and women share their struggles with Christopher).
Christopher will be the featured speaker at the Youth Eastside Services' annual "Invest in Youth" fundraising breakfast tomorrow morning (Tuesday, March 19). The event gets underway at 7:30am at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Please click here for more information.
