The Seattle Aquarium is looking to help ease the mid-winter doldrums by bringing a taste of the tropics to Seattle with a celebration they're calling "Visit Hawaii in Your Own Backyard." The celebration will feature a number of activities, Hawai'ian performances, special demonstrations and tours of the Aquarium's Pacific Coral Reef exhibit. Performers include the cast of "Honu By the Sea," a live musical featuring a boy who dreams of living under the sea. The adventure begins when he finds a magical sea star along the beach. In addition to the festivities, Aquarium visitors will also get the chance to enter to win a trip for four to Oahu!

Several cast members from "Honu By the Sea," performed for the New Day audience, then show creator Johnson Enos and Martin Rothwell from Seattle Aquarium joined Margaret to chat more about the celebration. Johnson's credits include producing and arranging albums for a who's who of musical artists, including Bette Midler and Kristen Chenoweth. He's also worked on a number of projects for Disney, including the soundtrack for the film "Lilo and Stitch II.

Seattle Aquarium's "Visit Hawaii in Your Own Backyard" celebration runs January 18-20 and 25-26.
