A remarkable young woman is on a mission to help spread her message of survival and hope to other young cancer patients.

18-year-old Melinda Marchiano successfully battled Hodgkins Lymphoma with grace and humor. She chronicled her experience in the book, Grace: A Child's Intimate Journey through Cancer and Recovery.  She wrote this book from journals she began keeping when she was 13!

Later this week, Melinda will meet with children undergoing treatment at Seattle Childrens. She'll also spend time with Nobel Laureate, Dr. Lee Hartwell from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center! Melinda is an incredible writer and speaker, but plans to pursue a career in pediatric oncology and cancer research.
