Anne Hathaway, who has signed on to appear in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland," also starred alongside Steve Carell in the movie "Get Smart."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Numerous entertainment Web sites are reporting that Anne Hathaway has signed on to play a role in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, she will play the role of the White Queen, sister of the Red Queen, who will be portrayed played by Helena Bonham Carter.

The film starts Mia Wasikowska as Alice. Johnny Depp will play the Mad Hatter.

The film is reportedly slated for released in 2010.
