Ben There, Done That: Timberline Lodge

Our second stop on our road trip brought us into the mountains. The ski season is upon us, and many of the skiers and snowboarders were out on their first run of the season.

For most resorts, this is considered the early season. For Timberline Lodge, they've still been open since last season. The higher elevation helps keep them in the snow all year round.

There is plenty of history to be found here, especially inside the main lodge. Ironwork from blacksmiths, mosaics, and a lot of the original features as when it first opened in the 1930s. Not to mention some new additions like a giant outdoor pool!

Bear got to play in the snow and even met a new friend, Bruno, one of Timberline's two rescue Saint Bernards.

Despite being open year-round, excitement at the Lodge is in the air as new snow begins to pile up on the ground!
