Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive lineman Malik McDowell was recorded cursing at police officers when he was arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning, according to video footage obtained by TMZ Sports.

In the footage, McDowell is heard calling one officer "b****" and another officer "n*****."

"If I tell an officer – she say something to me, I say f*** you b****, if that disorderly conduct?" McDowell is heard asking officers at the police station.

The rookie was arrested after getting into an argument at a night club outside Atlanta, according to an incident report obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

At around 2:21 a.m. Sunday, McDowell got into a verbal altercation with an employee in front of SL Lounge in Chamblee, Ga., according to the report filed by the Chamblee Police Department. McDowell claimed that he paid $600 for two bottles of alcohol, a seat in a particular section of the club and parking. Club employees, and one of McDowell's friends, told him that he had not paid yet.

McDowell was allowed to re-enter the club following a warning by police, then removed again after he poured the bottles of Patron and Dusse employees delivered to him inside a bucket of ice.

Upon the exit from the club the second time, McDowell continued to berate the officers at the scene. According to the incident report, McDowell cursed at the officers.

Officers struggled to subdue McDowell, according to the report.

"I repeatedly had to give him instructions and at one point he threw himself down on the ground in a tantrum," one of the officers wrote in the report. "He immediately accused me of stealing money from him, while I began to search his person, before placing him inside my vehicle, as we are trained to do. I tried to reason with him but to no avail."

Another officer wrote that he pulled out his pepper spray before McDowell calmed down.

“I am embarrassed by the situation and my actions on Saturday. I would like to apologize to the Atlanta Police Department, SL Lounge, the entire Seattle Seahawks organization and my teammates. I am a young man who made a mistake and am constantly working towards getting better,” McDowell tweeted Monday afternoon.

McDowell, a second-round draft pick out of Michigan State, hasn't played this season after suffering a serious concussion in an ATV accident in July. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said late last month that McDowell would not play this year.

“I don’t think that’s happening,” Carroll said, according to The Seattle Times. "There’s not any progress being made in that direction."
