After the Seattle Seahawks' offseason overhaul, fans may have already guessed the 2018 season could be a tough one.

The Hawks start things off in Denver where Case Keenum will be anxious to prove to Broncos fans he was well worth his $25 million in guaranteed money.

Follow that up with a Monday night game in Chicago. A couple of years ago, no problem. But the Bears will be coming off a likely loss at Green Bay in their season opener and new Bears head coach Matt Nagy won't want to start 0-2. Look for his team to have extra motivation on national television in front of the hometown fans.

The Hawks don't play at home until Week 3 against Dallas. Imagine if the Cowboys come to town with Earl Thomas wearing the star -- wait, don't. I like the Cowboys in the NFC East. They played through a cloud of controversy and distractions last season and still finished 9-7. I'm calling it right now - if the Cowboys stay healthy, they'll make the playoffs.

Week 4 sends the Seahawks to Arizona where the Cardinals have a new head coach and a new/old quarterback. They're giving Sam Bradford $20 million for one season, hoping he can stay healthy enough to be their starter. The Cardinals always play the Seahawks tough and with the return of running back David Johnson, that game could be interesting.

The Hawks host the division champion Rams in Week 5. The Rams loaded up in the offseason, acquiring top cornerbacks Aqib Talib and former Husky Marcus Peters. They also traded for speedy receiver Brandin Cooks and signed Ndamukong Suh.

The Hawks will lose to the Rams twice this season.

I can't imagine the Seahawks losing to the Raiders in London, but new head coach Jon Gruden could make a difference and he has some big weapons on both sides of the ball, including $125 million quarterback Derek Carr.

The Hawks have a bye week after London, before playing in Detroit where the Lions have a new head coach in former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. The Lions have always been a drastically better team at home than on the road.

Week 9 features a Seahawks-Chargers matchup in Seattle. The Chargers finished 9-7 last season and, along with the Chiefs, will be favored to win the AFC West.

Quick synopsis of the schedule so far? Not kind to the Seahawks.

Week 10 at the Rams (see above).

Week 11 is a Thursday night game at home against the Packers. That should be a fun game to watch with a healthy Aaron Rodgers and the return of Jimmy Graham. Hey, at least fans can count on Graham bringing his red cape and his ole' style of blocking.

Thanksgiving weekend sends the Seahawks to Charlotte to take on the Panthers, a team the Hawks have beaten six of the last eight times they've played, which included a stretch of three straight wins in Charlotte.

Richard Sherman doesn't make his return to Seattle until December 2, which is scheduled for a national audience on NBC's Sunday Night Football.

The Hawks follow that up with a Monday Night matchup at home against the Vikings and quarterback Kirk Cousins, who you may remember dragged his injury-depleted Washington team to a win at CenturyLink last season.

The Seahawks will head to San Francisco the next week for their only road game in December.

Home games against the Chiefs and Cardinals round out the schedule.

Most of you have probably already counted up wins and losses for the Seahawks, so let me join in.

I guessed 10 wins last season for Seattle (9-7).

This season, the Hawks will win seven.

Similar to the last nine seasons, Seattle and the rest of the NFL, will compete in division matchups to wrap up the regular season. The Seahawks will face the Cardinals at home Week 17.

In addition, no team will have to travel following a Monday Night appearance and only three teams in the league will have three away games scheduled in a row.
