The Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams are set for one of the best regular season games in Week 15. With huge playoff implications for both teams, Sunday’s matchup surely won’t disappoint.

The Seahawks opened as a one-point favorite on Sunday, suggesting oddsmakers see a deadlock between the teams with home-field advantage breaking the tie in favor of Seattle.

The line has since moved to two points in favor of the Seahawks. This suggests the bettors also prefer the Seahawks at home, even more than the oddsmakers, and history supports this. Dating back to when the Seahawks were playing at a stadium named Qwest Field, Seattle is 11-1 against the Rams at home.

Of course, this is a more-revamped Rams than in recent years, now under the leadership of Sean McVay and with emerging star Jared Goff under center. The Seahawks were able to go into Los Angeles and win a close affair with the Rams in Week 5, although Seattle had quite a different look than the injury-riddled team that just lost in Jacksonville.

Seahawks fans will argue this is a veteran core that has played many high stakes games in their careers – see Russell Wilson – and the way the game has been wagered to this point says the general public hasn’t overlooked that fact.

The over/under opened at 47.5 points which is one of the highest games we have seen in recent history at CenturyLink Field. The high-powered Rams offense matched up against a banged-up Seahawks defense surely has something to do with it. Bettors seem to think the over/under is too high as a whopping 70 percent of the money has come in on the under. Surely that kind of action will move the line soon to around 46 points, where it should level out for kickoff.
