Team Evening rings bells in support of Salvation Army

Kim, Jim, Saint and Michael joined KING 5 anchor Mark Wright and other recognizable faces to help usher in the giving season for the Salvation Army.

The Seagals, Mike Holmgren, Warren Moon, Blue Thunder and others spent the lunch hour outside Westlake Center for the Salvation Army’s 43rd Celebrity Bell Ringing event.

The Salvation Army Northwest Division helped nearly half a million people in 2016.

Their programs and services include rent /utility/gas assistance, food pantry, disaster relief services, day care centers, summer camps, holiday assistance, services for the aging, medical facilities, shelters for battered women and children, family and career counseling, vocational training, correction services, and substance abuse rehabilitation.

Visitors who donate to the red kettles on Saturdays in December at Westlake Park from 2:30-2:40 pm get free cocoa.

Evening is your guide to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Watch it weeknights at 7:30 on KING 5 TV or streaming live on KING5.com. Connect with Evening via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email: eveningtips@king5.com.
