Cat cafes are growing in popularity around the city for all the right reasons: these furry felines are just too cute to resist.

SEATTLE — It’s the purrfect place for cat lovers. Neko Cat Cafe opened on Capitol Hill earlier this month providing small bites and drinks for patrons while in the company of cats that are eligible for adoption.

Neko teamed up with the Regional Animal Services of King County. The cats from RASKC have feline leukemia (which doesn’t affect humans) which makes them harder to adopt. People can make a reservation to play with the cats and if they like one they can fill out paperwork to take it home.

Neko joins Seattle Meowtropolitan in Wallingford and The Kitty Korner, previously The Kitty Catfe, in Edmonds as part of a growing trend of cat cafes in the Puget Sound.
