From covering two Iraq wars, to dodging crocodiles in Mozambique, to riding elephants in India, Margaret Larson has covered global events and issues for television and international charities for thirty years.
Before coming to KING 5, she worked for NBC News, the Today Show and Dateline NBC, as well as consulting for nonprofits including World Vision, Mercy Corps, PATH and Global Partnerships.
She's won several Emmy awards, a national Society of Professional Journalists' award for a television feature, and a national Clarion Award.
Larson has also been named 'Best Voice for Humanitarianism' by Seattle Magazine.
She and her husband Tim have loved raising their son Kyle in the Northwest.
Currently, Larson is hosting KING 5's daily talk show New Day Northwest, which debuted in 2010, highlighting local people, issues and events that make our area such an amazing place to live.
