General Advertising Guidelines:
- All online ads with a white background must feature a black 1pt. wide border within the ad size limitations.
- Within standard online ad units and eyeblasters, animation of any form can run for a maximum of seven seconds without being re-initiated by the user. Advertising preceding a video segment within the video player can run for a maximum of 10 seconds.
- Only one of the following ad types can appear on a single page: expandable online ad or an audio enabled ad.
- Only two pop-under ads can appear per day per visitor, and only two pop-up promotional messages.
- Frequency cap limitations are imposed on all ads that, without user initiation, overlay or interrupt editorial content.
- Pop-under ads and free-form expandable or eyeblaster ads must include a prominently visible close button at all times.
- For all ad types and creative, only sound that is user-initiated will be accepted. All creative must include a prominently visible on/off switch for sound.
- Expandable ads can only provoke customer interaction within the current open browser window and cannot link a user to a new Web site.
- All advertising is served through Open Ad Stream; hard coding is not available.
Video Guidelines:
Video files can be displayed in free form overlays, interstitial units, advertising units, expandable banners, splash pages, stream-in-stream
and email.
Format: Video can be displayed using one of three formats: Macromedia
Flash .swf, Macromedia Flash .flv, and .wmv for stream-in-stream.
Controls: User or self initiated start with controls such as play, stop,
pause, and exit.
Length: 5 - 120 seconds (depending on ad unit)
Dimensions: Video should be no larger than 320px X 240px. Optional
video display enlargements can display 320 x 240 video at 640px X 480px.
File size:
Ad units: The file size of any ad unit displaying video should be
consistent with the current recommended file size. Streaming files should be limited to 10 megs. |
