Former NBA big man Shaquille O’Neal caused a stir in Florida when it was learned the 7-footer who owns an 11-bedroom mansion outside Orlando dropped an improbable sum on a second home.
We say improbable because, well, Shaq’s real estate transaction required him to cough up a mere $235,000 for a 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home in the artsy lakeside community of Mount Dora, located about 45 minutes northwest of Orlando.
Shaq? In a 4,000-square-foot suburban tract home? That’s not how the big man rolls, although Shaq Fu has been known to pull a few pranks in his larger-than-life life.
It wasn’t clear who is living in the very nice but not-so-Shaq-like house, which was bought for a family trust, according to Blockshopper records. Speculation about what Shaq could do in his new “vacation” home is making for some entertaining Internet games: Paint ball hall? Recording studio? Secret hideout for when things get too luxurious at Shaq’s huge Isleworth residence? The Shaq suspense continues.

Word from the Los Angeles Times is that superstar actor Leonard DiCaprio has grown tired of waiting for someone to rent his Malibu compound, so instead he wants it sold.
While Leo had been looking for $75,000 a month rental price for his three-structure, beachfront property, he’s now got a taller order to fill: A buyer for the place now listed for sale at $23 million.
Money Shot for Stone
After years of trying to sell her Beverly Hills Mediterranean, actress Sharon Stone appears to have found a buyer. According to The Real Estalker, Stone’s home on North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills is finally off the market.
Stone’s house sits on 4.85 acres at the end of a private road and includes a large motor court with covered parking for 14 vehicles, lush landscaping and winding pathways over bridges, as well as waterfalls, a fruit tree grove, meditation garden and tennis court. She had been seeking $8.9 million, but there’s word that the sale was for considerably less.
