Fatal motorcycle accident on East Lake Sammamish Parkway

03:30 PM PST on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

KING5.com and Associated Press

SEATTLE - A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning when he collided with a dump truck on East Lake Sammamish Parkway.

The accident occurred at about 7:41 a.m.

Police say the dump truck was turning from 229th Avenue Southeast when the 44-year-old motorcyclist collided with it. A signal controls the intersection and police are investigating what caused the crash.

Police closed off access to 229th Avenue, which leads to a nearby concrete plant, and reduced traffic to one lane in each direction on East Lake Sammamish Parkway for the investigation.

The truck driver wasn't hurt.
