Shania Pedigo's poster now includes the word "recovered."

PACIFIC, Wash. - A few weeks ago, Sandy Pedigo was reunited with her 9-year-old daughter Shania, who had been missing since June of 2004.

Authorities say the then 6-year-old girl was taken by her father, who refused to return her after a parental visit in 2004.

For two-and-a-half agonizing years, Pedigo prayed her daughter would return.

Washington State Patrol posted a picture of Shania on several Gordon Trucking trailers, which traveled some 100,000 miles.

Late last month, Shania was discovered in Montana with her father.

"I am just one happy, happy mom," said Sandy.

Shania's picture is still plastered on Gordon trailers, but now it has the word "recovered" at the bottom.

"I think there is no way this didn't help because it was on the road and people did see," said Sandy.

Authorities say tips from those who knew the father also played a role in bringing Shania back to her mother.

She's now a typical 9-year-old girl, excited about all the typical things pre-teens think about, like her new dog Rosie.

"I have a little a stuffed animal and it looks exactly like her," said Shania.

Pictures of three other missing children will be posted on Gordon Trucks throughout 11 western states.
