Another Fort Lewis soldier killed in Iraq

FORT LEWIS, Wash. - The military says another Fort Lewis soldier who was deployed to Iraq has died.

Army Specialist David J. Ramsey

He's identified as Army Specialist David J. Ramsey, a 27-year-old from Tacoma.

Fort Lewis says he was medically evacuated from Iraq on August 24 and died September 7 in Spanaway, Washington, from a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 47th Combat Support Hospital, 62nd Medical Brigade, Fort Lewis. He had deployed to Iraq last October.

Joseph Piek of Fort Lewis public affairs said further details on the cause of Ramsey's death are not immediately available.

Funeral services were held Thursday at Fort Lewis.
