SEDRO WOOLLEY, Wash. – There is outrage in a community already wounded by last week’s deadly shooting rampage after somebody stole a donation jar for the family of one of the victims.

At the Sedro Woolley Food Pavilion, the best in people has been displayed as friends and co-workers have donated to the family of Julie Binschus.

The store manager says on Wednesday afternoon, someone stole the jar full of money which was to pay for Julie’s funeral, which was Thursday.

“First you get some crazy person that does some shooting, and then you get someone equally as crazy to steal some money like that?” said resident Mike Nichols.

The store believes there was just small amount of money in the pot, and despite the theft, they were still able to raise roughly $10,000 for the Binschus family.

Police say they have no suspects.

The family is disgusted over what has transpired.

"Anyone that is that disrespectful shouldn't be in this community if they are going to take money from Julie's donations and stuff like that, and should come forward and return the money,” said Julie’s son-in-law, Trevor Fenton.

The family has been overwhelmed by the support from the community. Hundreds of cards and flowers have arrived at their doorsteps and given them the strength to continue on in the wake of the shooting that stunned all of Skagit County.

“Thank you everybody so much for everything,” said Fenton.

A funeral for shooting victim Chester Rose is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bay View Community Center.
