Joe Shikany played guitar and base in several Seattle bands.
SEATTLE - A Seattle musician was killed by a falling tree brought down by lightning.
Joseph Shikany was sitting on the porch of a house at a lake in Spokane on Monday when lightning hit a nearby tree.
Shikany played guitar and bass in several Seattle bands. He was scheduled to perform this week in Seattle, Shoreline and Bothell.
Shikany has also toured in England and Holland.
