Qualified applicants will be pure bred German Shepherd, male, 18 to 30 months old.
KENT - The Kent Police Department has a canine career opportunity. The department is looking for a German Shepherd to replace their patrol dog, "Jedi," who is retiring after 4 1/2 years of service.
Qualified applicants will be purebred German Shepherd, male, 18 to 30 months old. The applicant should love to chase a ball; if he plays fetch until his master can't throw the ball anymore, this career may be a good fit. The dog should be social with people of all ages, mentally stable, and not afraid of new situations.
This is a full time Patrol K-9 career opportunity. The dog selected must be donated to the City of Kent Police.
If you have a qualified dog or you know someone who does, call Sergeant Todd Durham, Kent Police K-9 unit supervisor, 253-859-5800 or e-mail to tdurham@ci.kent.wa.us
If the Kent Police testing process identifies more than one qualified K9, references may be provided for other police agencies.
