FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – A suspected car thief who allegedly pointed a shotgun at a Washington State trooper after a chase last month has been arrested.

The incident happened June 12 in Federal Way. The state patrol says a trooper tried to pull two men over just after midnight. After a brief chase, the suspects allegedly pointed the gun at the trooper, causing him to hit the curb. The car and gun were found later along with a hat.

The state patrol says investigators were able to match DNA from the hat and gun to a suspect who has been arrested in Federal Way.

It's not clear if the second person has been found.
