EVERETT, Wash. - The FAA says a small plane has crashed while attempting to land at Paine Field in Everett.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says the Piper PA-12 went down about 1,000 feet north of the runway.

The pilot, identified as Marc Olson of Seattle, was the only person on board. He was taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center where he is said to be in satisfactory condition with cuts, but no broken bones.
