A recovery team speeds up the Nisqually River near Lacey, Wash. to collect a body found on Friday, June 27, 2008.

SEATTLE – Sheriff's deputies believe a body found along the Nisqually River this afternoon is that of a man who went missing after the boat he was on hit a logjam in the same area two weeks ago.

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office says the body was found near Lacey.

They believe it's that of 32-year-old Bryan L. Pierce. He and nine-year-old Cameron McCartney were presumed dead after the search for them was suspended.

They fell into the Nisqually June 12 when a 16- to 18-foot motorized johnboat hit a logjam. The body of McCartney's brother, 5-year-old Sean McCartney, was found afterward.

None of the five people on the boat was wearing a life jacket. The operator, 42-year-old Vincent Farler of Olympia, and the boys' mother made it ashore. Farler was taken into custody on investigation of three counts of homicide by watercraft and drunken boating.
