WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. – The search for a 16-year-old kayaker missing near Whidbey Island ended quickly when the girl was found walking along the beach.
The Coast Guard reported the girl's kayak washed up on shore without her in it Wednesday afternoon near Greenbank. She was found a few minutes later.
Island County searchers assisted the Coast Guard in the search.
