Video: 'Insane Clown Posse' vandals may have struck again

SPANAWAY, Wash. – Pierce County sheriff's detectives say a case of vandalism and arson Wednesday could be the latest work of groupies of the rap/metal duo known as "Insane Clown Posse."

At about 2 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters arrived at the 4300 block of 200th Street E. in Spanaway to find a new home for sale that was on fire. The flames were quickly brought under control, but not before doing about $60,000 in damage.

Once inside, firefighters also found holes kicked in the walls and doors, a hole burned in a bedroom floor and gang-style graffiti. One of the tags had the word Juggalos misspelled. A stack of "Playboy" magazines was left behind, along with a mess of black hair in the bathroom, suggesting one of the vandals may have a shaved head.

The Juggalos are followers of "Insane Clown Posse." Police believe that earlier this month, the Juggalos may have been responsible for vandalizing vehicles in the city of Lynden's fleet. Last month, an assault in Lynden was attributed to a group of Juggalos. The group is also blamed for assaulting 23 park visitors with machetes in Pierce County in 2006.

"Insane Clown Posse" is a Michigan duo that has been performing since the '80s. Comprised of singers Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, the duo appears at shows in clown face paint and sings songs laced with violent lyrics.

Investigators plan to blanket local middle and high schools with fliers offering a $1,000 reward. Anyone with information is asked to call Pierce County Crime Stoppers at (253) 591-5959.
