GIG HARBOR, Wash. – A woman near Gig Harbor, Wash. was arrested for shooting her husband in an argument over Internet porn.

Katherine Bratton told police she just wanted to teach him a lesson. She told police she didn't like what her husband was doing on the computer, so she grabbed a gun.

"Evidently she was angry with the fact that she thought he was looking at pornography on the computer and that's what set this whole thing off," said Ed Troyer, Pierce County Sheriff's Dept.

The suspect's 56-year-old husband told KING 5 that he was not surfing porn and that his wife was heavily medicated at the time of the shooting.

The woman fired a single shot that hit her husband in the shoulder Friday night. She confessed after police arrested her.

"We did recover the weapon that was used and we found multiple other weapons, some of the larger caliber guns, and she did make the statement that she was trying to hurt him, but was not trying to kill him, because if she was, she would have used a bigger gun and shot him in a different location," said Troyer.

The husband still has a bullet in the shoulder and is home recovering, but he is upset at his wife for using his Harley to bail out of jail.

The woman is now charged with assault.

Police say Katherine Bratton has no previous criminal record.
