A motorcycle lies on the ground in Spanaway, Wash. after sheriff's deputies say an SUV pulled out in front of it and then left the scene on Friday, May 9, 2008.
SPANAWAY, Wash. – Pierce County sheriff's deputies are looking for an SUV involved in a hit and run with a motorcycle this morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of 168th Street E. and 21st Ave. E.
Video shows the blue 2007 Yamaha motorcycle lying on its side next to a tree with debris all around it.
The rider, a 27-year-old man, was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet.

A sheriff's office spokesperson says the vehicle, a mid-1990's Ford Explorer, light in color, turned in front of the motorcycle. There may be damage on the front right side.
Deputies say the driver of the SUV had to have known there was an accident.
Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the driver's arrest. Call (253) 591-5959.
