FORT LEWIS, Wash. - It was an emotional morning at Fort Lewis as more than 100 soldiers returned home after nearly 15 months in Iraq.

The soldiers were assigned to the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. They were welcomed by family and friends in an early morning ceremony at Sheridan Gym.

On their first day back, soldiers had plans ranging from going fishing, to eating homemade Mexican food and watching their kids' baseball games.

The returning soldiers make up the brigade's advance party. The majority of the brigade is slated to return beginning in June.
