Diane Amanda Hillman worked as a counselor at Ballou Junior High School when she began a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
In February, Hillman pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree child rape and one count of third-degree child molestation.
In her sentencing Friday, the 40-year-old Hillman asked Pierce County Superior Court Judge Lisa Worswick if she could be sentenced under a special provision that would keep her out of prison but require extensive sex offender treatment. The judge denied Hillmans' request because the judge said Hillman violated her position of trust.
